Mount Damavand Expedition
Damavand Mountain Trekking Iran Damavand Mountain is the highest point of the Alborz Mountain Range, which stretches from the border with Armenia to the Caspian Sea in northern Iran and ends at the border of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan at an altitude of 5,670 meters. Damavand is also the highest point in the Middle East and the highest volcano in Asia. An ideal mountain for mountaineers who are starting to climb 5000 meters.
Program
1 Days
Arrival in Tehran Arrival at Imam Khomeini International Airport transfer to hotel in Tehran. Overnight stay at our 3 star hotel in Tehran. If your flight arrives early, you can explore the city overnight at the hotel.
2 Days
After breakfast we head towards the mountains, drive to Camp 1 with a 4×4 vehicle and spend the night there. Overnight in tents at Camp 1.
3 Days
Today we have a conditional day, in the morning we will go to Camp 2 at an altitude of 4200 meters, we will stay here for a while, aimless conditions. We climb to an altitude of 4200 meters and return to our camp in our tents to spend the night.
4 Days
Camp 1 – Camp 2 (4200 meters above sea level). We returned to Camp 2 to complete our acclimatization process, but this time we stayed at Camp 2. We spent the afternoon resting and preparing for the summit the next morning. We slept in tents or took shelter at home for the night.
5 Days
Camp 2 – Damavand (5710 m) – Camp 1 (3200 m). After breakfast, if time permits, we will start climbing to the top of Demarvend. After the last training we reach the highest peak in Iran, where we could enjoy the wonderful views of the surroundings. After a long day, we start descending to the 1st or 2nd camp to rest. Spend the night in a tent or shelter.
6 Days
2nd Camp – Tehran. From Camp 2 we head to the city of Palour, where we will transfer to our hotel in Tehran. After a few hours of rest, we can begin to explore the city and its most important places. Arrival at the hotel in the afternoon.
7 Days
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Tehran for a daily visit to the Gorastan Palace, Azad Tower and a cultural tour of the Grand Bazaar.
8 Days
Our group will be transferred to Imam Khomeini International Airport at the end of our tour. Optional tour of Isfahan City, Shiraz, Perspolis and Kashan on the way.
