Ascent of Mount Suphan Combined with Mount Ararat
Trekking to Mount Süphan with Mount Ararat: This program allows us to explore the two highest mountains in Turkey. First, we will ascend Mount Süphan, which will help us acclimatize before heading to Ararat. Mount Süphan, at 4,058 meters, is renowned for its beauty and striking appearance. It is an impressive volcano that overlooks Lake Van. The city of Van is located 180 km from Mount Ararat and boasts a rich historical and cultural center.

Program
1 Day
Arrival at Van Airport. Transfer to the hotel. Visit to the historic center of Van. Overnight stay.
2 Days
After breakfast, we'll travel to the Süphan Mountain Camp at 2650 meters. We'll stop for refreshments along the way. At the camp, we'll set up our tents and have a barbecue dinner.
3 Days
We will reach the summit of Mount Süphan (4058 meters). Around 1:00 AM, we will wake up and, after a good breakfast to give us energy, begin the ascent. We will start from the base of the mountain with a gentle hike. In about 6 hours, we will be at the summit of Mount Süphan. We will take photos and begin the descent to the campsite. After a rest, we will pack up our equipment. Transfer by car to the hotel in Dogubayazit, the closest town to Mount Ararat. Overnight stay. Hotel in Dogubayazit
4 Days
After breakfast, we will travel by car to an altitude of 2200 meters, then hike to Camp 1, which is at an altitude of 3300 meters, taking approximately 5 hours. We will arrive at Camp 1 on Mount Ararat and spend the night in a tent. Dinner.
5 Days
Today we will get up early for breakfast and around 7 am climb to Camp 2. Dinner will be early and we will go to rest and enjoy the views of Ararat from Camp 2, which is 4200 meters high.
Day 6
Around 1 AM we wake up in groups, go to a dining tent for dinner, and after dinner begin the trek towards the summit of Mount Ararat with its 5165 meters. After celebrating our summit, we descend and rest at Camp 2 in a few hours and return to Camp 1 for the night.
Day 7
One extra day in case bad weather prevents us from following the previous schedule, or a day to visit the area around Dogubayazit. Accommodation in a hotel* with breakfast in Dogubayazit. Dinner on your own.
8 Days
We'll have breakfast at the hotel. We'll then transfer to the airport for our return flights. End of our services.
Including
One night in a hotel van. All transfers in the city and on the mountain. The guide speaks English, Spanish, Turkish, and Kurdish. Two nights in a hotel in Dogubeyazit. All meals during the mountain climb. Horse/support (20 kg per person). Tents (one for two people), sleeping mat (camping mattress), kitchen, dishes, etc. Meals included at the campsite during the mountain climb. Climbing certificate. Van tour. Cultural tour. City tour. Lake tour. Round-trip van transfers in Agri or Igdir.
Not Included
International flights, visa, and travel insurance. Permits for Mount Ararat. Permits for the Mount Ararat expedition. The Turkish government requires special permits to climb Mount Ararat. Please allow 35 days for your permit to be issued. Please email us the following information for each person.
