Day 1
Pick-up at Igdir airport and transfer to your hotel in Dogubayazit.
Day 2
After breakfast, we'll begin our journey to Little Ararat, from where we'll start our hike to the summit. The ascent will be approximately 1,000 meters and will take about 9 hours. From the summit of Little Ararat, we'll be able to admire the peak of Ararat from a unique and picturesque perspective. Return to the hotel.
Day 3
After breakfast, we'll depart for Ararat to begin our trek to the first campsite, located at an altitude of 3,200 meters. Horses will carry heavy luggage. The trek will take up to 5 hours. Upon arrival at the campsite, the cook will prepare dinner, and we'll settle into our tents. The rest of the time is for relaxation and acclimatization.
Day 4
Once again, after breakfast, we'll set off for the second camp at 4,200 meters. Horses will again help carry the heavy gear to the next camp. The journey will take up to 5 hours. As on the previous day, the cook will prepare lunch. The rest of the time is spent resting before summit attempt day.
Day 5
Ararat! Wake up around midnight. We set off after breakfast. The hike to the summit takes 5 to 7 hours.
After reaching the summit, we return to the second camp to rest and eat, and then begin the hike back to the first camp, where we will sleep in tents.
Day 6
Descend to an altitude of 2250 meters and return to your hotel in Doğubayazıt. After some time to rest, we will visit the 17th-century Palace of Vizier Ishak Pasha and the Tomb of Ahmad Xani, a Kurdish poet, from where we can also admire the panorama of Old and New Bayazit. We will also visit the city center, where we will enjoy a traditional Kurdish meal, and those interested can indulge in a massage at a Turkish bath (at an additional cost).
Day 7
Today is a relaxing day, during which we will visit Turkish bazaars, then we will move into the typically Kurdish world and head to Balik Golu, where we will have a barbecue in the truly local style.
Day 8
Transfer to the airport. Return to the country.
Included in the price: All transfers and hotel accommodation, all meals in the mountains, breakfasts at the hotel, guides, cook, camping equipment, tents, horse transport, permits/exit reports to the corresponding services, entrance fees for the days of exploration of the area.
Not included in the price: Airline tickets, insurance (possible assistance in coordinating the purchase of tickets), possible meals in the city or at the hotel, except breakfast, visit to the Turkish bath, personal expenses.
