Program

Day 1
Arrival at Agri, Igdir, or Van airport. Transfer to Dogubayazit (approximately 1 hour), a town situated at an altitude of 1,800 meters. Overnight stay at a 4-star hotel in Dogubayazit, the town closest to Mount Ararat.

Day 2
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart around 9:00 AM and travel by van to the village of Cevirme or Eli (2,200 meters). From there, we hike up to Ararat Camp 1 (3,300 meters), a trek taking about 5 hours. Mules carry our main gear, so we only need to carry a small daypack with water and a packed lunch (fruit, sandwich, etc.). Overnight in tents at Mount Ararat Camp 1.

Day 3
After breakfast, we resume our ascent of Mount Ararat, heading to Camp 2. We will have the afternoon to rest and prepare for the summit push. We will sleep in tents at an altitude of 4,200 meters. Dinner included.

Day 4
We rise early for breakfast and—around 4:00 AM, depending on the guide’s decision—begin the climb to the summit of Mount Ararat (5,137 meters). In July, crampons are usually required for the upper section of the climb. After enjoying the views from the summit, we descend to Camp 2 for a short rest and a snack to replenish our energy. We then continue the descent to Camp 1 and down to an altitude of 2,500 meters, where minibuses will take us back to Dogubayazit.

Day 5
After breakfast, transfer to the airport; end of the tour.
