This hiking adventure takes you across three majestic volcanic peaks: the Mount Nemrut Caldera (3,050 m), Mount Suphan (4,058 m), and Mount Ararat (5,137 m). Starting from the vibrant city of Van, you will ascend these iconic mountains, enjoying breathtaking views of Lake Van from the summits of Nemrut and Suphan. These initial climbs will serve as ideal acclimatization before the final challenge: the ascent of Mount Ararat, Turkey’s highest peak.

Beyond the thrill of mountaineering, this tour offers a rich cultural experience, featuring visits to historical sites such as the impressive Ishak Pasha Palace, a 17th-century architectural masterpiece of the Ottoman Empire.

Nemrut, Suphan, Ararat Program

Day 1: Sightseeing in the Van area
Upon arrival in Van, your guide will meet you at the airport. After exploring the city center and enjoying a traditional Kurdish dinner, we will stay at a hotel in Van.  

Day 2: Transfer and hike in the Nemrut Caldera transfer to Mount Suphan
After breakfast, we will transfer to the western side of Nemrut Crater Lake to begin our hike and ascend to the summit of Mount Nemrut. From the top, there are spectacular views of the surrounding volcanic landscape. After the descent, we will transfer to Mount Suphan, where we will camp for the night.

Day 3: Ascent to the summit of Suphan, transfer to Dogubayazit After an early breakfast, we will begin the ascent to the summit of Mount Suphan (4,058 m), offering breathtaking views of Lake Van and the surrounding area. After a break for photos, we will descend to the campsite. We will then transfer to Dogubayazit and check into a comfortable hotel.

Day 4: From Dogubayazit to Ararat Camp 1
After breakfast at the hotel, we will pack our gear and head to the village of Cevirme, near the base of Mount Ararat. Porters will load our luggage onto horses, and we will begin our hike to Camp 1 (Base Camp) at 3,200 m. At the camp, we will have lunch, enjoy hot tea, and set up our tents. There will be free time to rest and have dinner.   Overnight stay at Camp 1.  

Day 5: Ascent to Ararat Camp 2
We will have breakfast at Camp 1, pack our gear, and begin the ascent to Camp 2, located at 4,200 m. Horses will transport our luggage to Camp 2. At the camp, we will have lunch, pitch our tents, and prepare our gear for the following day (the summit ascent).   Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
 
Day 6: Trek to the summit of Ararat, return to camp 1
After an early wake-up call and a light breakfast, we will begin the ascent to the summit of Mount Ararat (5,137 m). Upon reaching the peak and taking a short break for photos, we will start our descent to Camp 2, where we will rest, have lunch, and pack up our gear. After a rest, we will continue the descent to Camp 1. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 7: Transfer to Dogubayazit, sightseeing
After breakfast, we will pack our belongings and head to Dogubayazit, where we will check into a comfortable hotel. Here, you will have the chance to freshen up and relax with a hot shower after the trek. After resting, we will head to the city center for a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant, where you can sample traditional Kurdish cuisine. In the afternoon, we will visit the historic Ishak Pasha Palace—an impressive 17th-century Ottoman palace located just 7 km from Dogubayazit—which offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Dogubayazit.

Day 8: Departure
Transfer to the airport for your return flight, marking the end of your unforgettable three-volcano hiking adventure.
